Threndx Launches: A Social Media Platform That Pays Users to Connect

Developed by Nigerian-Canadian entrepreneurs, Threndx offers a fresh, privacy-conscious alternative to traditional social networks, combining creativity, authentic connections, and a reward system that pays users for engagement

A fresh chapter in social connection has opened with the official launch of Threndx, a dynamic and privacy-first social media platform developed and owned by Nigerian-Canadian entrepreneurs. The platform is now available worldwide on both iOS and Android, offering users a new way to connect, create, and earn.

The brains behind Threndx are Agbene Ejigah, Arun Ahir, and Ijeamaka (Ijay) Ojeifo — seasoned technology entrepreneurs with decades of combined experience across IT, engineering, business, and global digital transformation.

Agbene Ejigah, Founder and CEO of Threndx Limited, brings over 20 years of expertise in IT and project management. His earlier ventures include Treals, an e-commerce platform that impacted more than 1.7 million people, and The Hunt, a talent discovery platform for singers, dancers, and comedians, which attracted over 200,000 users.

Co-founder Ijeamaka Ojeifo is a global business leader with over 25 years of experience in technology, oil and gas, and professional services. He has launched multiple ventures, including 3Sight Services Limited, a technology solutions provider.

Meanwhile, entrepreneur and investor Arun Ahir brings over two decades of experience building and scaling businesses across India and Canada. Originally trained as a mechanical engineer, he has founded successful ventures in multiple sectors and now brings his global perspective and passion for innovation to Threndx.

A Fresh Approach to Social Media

Threndx combines a wide range of features, including photo and video sharing, blogging, storytelling, groups, and a personalised newsfeed — all within a clean, user-friendly interface. Unlike traditional platforms that profit from user data, Threndx prioritises privacy: data is encrypted, and personal information is never shared with third parties.

“Social media should feel safe, human, and rewarding,” said Ejigah. “We created Threndx to give users more than just a place to post. We want to give them a platform where their presence and creativity truly matter.”

Since its launch, Threndx has recorded strong downloads and enthusiastic feedback, especially among young people seeking an alternative to mainstream platforms. “Threndx is a game-changer! It’s refreshing to see a platform that centres real expression,” one early user said. Another added: “With its vibrant interface and dynamic feed, Threndx is a must-have.”

A Platform That Rewards Engagement

A key innovation is Threndx’s democratised reward system, which allows users to earn points for everyday activities such as posting, liking, commenting, and sharing — regardless of follower count or celebrity status. These points can be redeemed for cash rewards, turning daily engagement into real opportunities.

Ejigah explained, “We built Threndx to empower people to connect, express, and engage without compromising on privacy or user experience. It’s time for social media to feel human again.”
