ICGC Holy Hills Temple Ushers Congregants into 2025 with Cross-Over Service
The International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) Holy Hills Temple, Lomnava, held its much-anticipated annual Cross-Over service to welcome the new year, 2025.
The night of worship, renewal, and inspiration drew a large congregation, filling the auditorium with a palpable sense of spiritual fervour and expectation.
The service commenced with an electrifying session of worship and praise, as the choir led the congregation in singing hymns and songs of gratitude.
Hands were lifted, voices rang out in harmony, and many were visibly moved by the presence of God. This worshipful atmosphere set the tone for a deeply spiritual evening.
In his sermon, the Resident Pastor, Rev. Oscar Morrison, declared 2025 as “The Year of Jesus,” urging worshippers to place their trust in Christ as they navigate the uncertainties of life. Anchoring his message on Psalm 103, he reminded the congregation of God’s enduring faithfulness and grace.
“No matter the challenges you face, when Jesus is with you, you will triumph,” Rev. Morrison proclaimed passionately. “When your prayers seem unanswered, do not throw in the towel. The same God who has brought you this far will see you through and give you reason to declare His works.”
Rev. Morrison encouraged worshippers to remain steadfast in their faith, even when faced with life’s toughest trials. “Sometimes life becomes stiff, but you need to hold on tenaciously to God. Jesus will never abandon you in the midst of difficulties,” he assured, drawing inspiration from the story of the Israelites’ miraculous passage through the Red Sea.
The service also included a moment of reflection and gratitude for the year 2024. Congregants were led to thank God for His mercies and protection throughout the year, acknowledging the milestones and breakthroughs they had experienced.
A special segment of the night focused on intercessory prayers for the new year. Rev. Morrison and other church leaders led the congregation in fervent prayers for divine guidance, provision, and protection in 2025. The prayers covered key aspects of life, including health, family, career, and the nation’s well-being.
As the clock struck midnight, the entire congregation erupted into jubilant celebration, marking the official start of 2025. Fireworks lit up the night sky outside the church, and the auditorium echoed with shouts of joy and declarations of faith.

Many attendees described the service as life-transforming. “This is the spiritual reset I needed,” said one worshipper. “It’s a powerful reminder that no matter what lies ahead, Jesus is with us, and we have the victory.”
The event concluded with Rev. Morrison urging congregants to embrace the year with a renewed commitment to prayer, worship, and service to God.
He encouraged them to be agents of hope and light in their communities, reminding them that their faith would guide them to overcome any obstacle.
