A group known as Eastern Regional Youth Caucus for JM which is made up of constituency and branch executives of the NDC across the Region has called on His Excellency John Dramani Mahama to consider Dr Kwabena Duffuor as his running mate for the 2024 General Election.
They made the call during John Mahama’s visit to the Region at Asuogyaman and Agomanya in the lower Manya constituencies to interact with various stakeholders and party faithfuls on his visions for the country when voted into power in the up coming General Elections
The flag bearer of the NDC is expected to spend two days in the Region on his “Building Ghana tour”.
They cited Dr Kwabena Duffuor’s track records on the economy when he was the finance Minister between 2009 to 2012 as one of their major reasons for their call.
They also pointed out his excellent performances in all his public and private offices he had held, both as a businessman and as a politician, describing him as a man of integrity and a fine political guru.
The NDC is yet to choose its running mate to partner its flag bearer and such an appointment is the sole responsibility of his Excellency John Dramani Mahama on the advise of the party’s Council of elders and FEC.
