Lawyer David Adu-Tutu Jr. withdraws from Nsawam-Adoagyiri NPP race

David Adu-Tutu Jr. Esq. aka Lawyer JD has withdrawn from the race for the 2024 NPP Parliamentary Primaries in Nsawam-Adoagyiri.

In a Press Release, he indicated that this decision was not influenced by anyone, money or promise of political favour, as some cunning and conniving people would have you believe for their own selfish reasons.

According to him, he has contested elections when he had far less grounds-work experience and far less resources at his disposal and it is impossible for anyone to intimidate him out of his decision to contest elections now.

Read his release below:

Dear Delegates, Party Faithfuls, and Constituents of the Nsawam-Adoagyiri Constituency,

Good evening.

I wish to let you know officially, that after much deliberation with my campaign team, well-wishers and my family. I have taken the difficult decision to withdraw from the race for the 2024 NPP Parliamentary Primaries in Nsawam-Adoagyiri.

I want to be CLEAR and EMPHATIC that this decision was not influenced by anyone, money or promise of political favour, as some cunning and conniving people would have you believe for their own selfish reasons.

Those who know me well, know that I cannot be compromised by money or promises of favour, and (much as I respect everyone) I do not live or act in fear of anyone.

I have contested elections when I had far less grounds-work experience and far less resources at my disposal. It is impossible for anyone to intimidate me out of my decision to contest elections now.

I’m also grateful to God for the provision he continues to make for me, my family and the people whose livelihoods rely (wholly or partly) on me. I do not need to, and would never, compromise my integrity for the sake of promised favour.

It has never been my desire to be MP at all costs. I saw a gap in leadership and service at the Constituency level in the party, and I felt strongly (and still do feel the same way) that I could do better to help the people of Nsawam-Adoagyiri. But, after further consideration, I have come to the conclusion that now is not the best time to demonstrate my capabilities. If God wills, MY TIME WILL COME.

I wish the remaining candidates well. And I pray that the delegates of Nsawam-Adoagyiri will make the RIGHT CHOICE to lead lead the party into the 2024 Parliamentary elections in the Constituency, so we can retain the seat for God, country and party.

I wish you the best in the remaining days, and in the rest of the new year ahead.

Forever humbly yours in service,

David Adu-Tutu Jr. Esq.
(Lawyer JD)
