MTN Ghana’s remarkable act of philanthropy shines through as they embarked on another benevolence by donating assorted baby products to babies delivered on Christmas and Boxing Day at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.
In a heart-warming display of generosity, a hundred newborns at the hospital were presented with diverse hampers, and their mothers were gifted recharge cards.
The assorted baby products donated include blankets, diapers, towels, shawls, bibs, toiletries, clothes, MTN Recharge cards, and other baby essentials.
In an interview with MTN Ghana’s Chief Corporate Services and Sustainability Officer, Adwoa Afriyie Wiafe, she revealed that the company distributed over 500 hampers to newborns across the nation on this special day.
She stated that the donation formed a crucial part of the MTN Ghana Foundation’s planned activities aimed at uplifting mothers’ spirits during the festive season.
“At Christmas, the spirit of love and sharing prevails, and our goal is to consistently bring joy to mothers’ faces through these contributions,” she elaborated.
She further detailed that the project spanned across all sixteen regions, targeting designated hospitals.
Since 2011, this steadfast commitment has stood as a crucial element within the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), showcasing MTN’s unwavering dedication to demonstrating care and reinforcing its profound commitment to the welfare of society.

The Senior Midwifery Officer at the Maternity Unit of Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, Jennifer Kwansa-Hudson who received the items on behalf of the mothers commended MTN Ghana for their kind gesture; adding that the hampers will go a long way to help the beneficiaries.
The mothers were visibly moved by the unexpected Christmas baby packages, their emotions overflowing with joy and gratitude.
Their heartfelt reactions resonated with genuine appreciation for the thoughtful gesture from the MTN Ghana Foundation. This act of kindness not only brought immense joy but also infused their holiday season with an unforgettable sense of warmth and generosity.
