NDA Boss Allegedly Hoards Motor Tricycles For Votes In Bunkpurugu NPP Primary

The Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Northern Development Authority (NDA), Lawyer Sulley Sambian, is alleged to have been hoarding NDA tricycles and distributing them to delegates in the constituency for votes.

Information gathered is that he is keeping a number of these tricycles which he intends to donate to delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) executives in the Bunkpurugu constituency.

According to information, this gesture is for him to ‘buy’ his way through for the delegates to vote for him in the coming primary to become the party’s Parliamentary Candidate for the NPP.

Management of NDA, according to information is to sell Tricycles on a cash and carry basis and in a transparent and non-partisan manner.

Although a number of them have been sold out, the Acting Chief Executive Officer according to information, has decided to hoard some of the motor tricycles for campaign purposes.

Lawyer Sulley Sambian who picked his nomination forms to contest for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Bunkpurugu constituency parliamentary primaries, is being accused of diverting these motor tricycles to be shared among delegates in the run-up to the party’s primary in the constituency.

Snippets of information received indicated that he is doing all he could to allegedly buy polling station officers and electoral area coordinators of the NPP in the Bunkpurugu constituency with the motor tricycles.

Lawyer Sulley Sambian whose chances of winning the primary and becoming the Parliamentary candidate for the NPP, is considered very weak, is alleged to be devising all means possible to get delegates on his side for them to give him the nod to lead the party into the 2024 elections in the constituency.

His action is seen as a strict contravention of Section Five of the Northern Development Authority Act, 2017 (Act 963) which provides that the Board shall give general directives on the management and operations of the Authority.
