The staff of Serenity Hair and Spa, an international beauty salon in Florida, USA have offered free training to some Ghanaian beauticians in Accra.
The training was in collaboration with the International Vision Church and the We In Me Ministry.
The hairdressers numbering over a hundred, were taken through manicure, pedicure, makeup artistry, and hair styling to empower them in beauty therapy and cosmetology.
Speaking in an interview with the leader of the trainers and CEO of Serenity Hair and Spa, Ms. Debbie Smith, she noted that their coming to Ghana was in solidarity with the anniversary celebration of the International Vision Church and the graduation ceremony of some women who undergo training in entrepreneurship and catering services.
According to her, the trainees in their session were taken through new techniques that they can use to be better, do better, and add value to their businesses.
The 2-days training according to Ms. Debbie Smith gave the trainees the opportunity to sharpen their skills and acquire technologies that are currently trending in the beauty and cosmetology industry.
She also averred that the beneficiaries were trained in techniques to make natural hair silky and relaxed.
“We taught them how to do it the right way. The turnout was amazing, we even had to turn some people away. Indeed, we have now seen their needs and we promised to come again to do more and to help more people,” she said.
Ms. Debbie Smith also mentioned that Serenity Hair and Spa would in their next visit, give out tools and equipment to trainees to help them manage their shops and businesses perfectly and to deliver the best of services to their clients.
The trainees were given certificates and free souvenirs at the end of the training.
