“Unlocking Doors Through Praise: Rev. Morrison Inspires Christians”
Rev. Oscar Morrison, Resident Pastor of International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) Holy Hills Temple Lormnava, has urged Christians to adopt a lifestyle of praise and thanksgiving, even in the face of unanswered prayers.
Speaking at the End-of-Year Thanksgiving Service, dubbed “Aseda” and themed The Power of Praise, he highlighted the transformative, healing, and breakthrough potential of heartfelt praise.
“Aseda,” in Ghanaian local language—specifically Akan—means “Thanksgiving.”
Citing Proverbs 17:22 and Psalm 34:1, Rev. Morrison emphasized that praising God transcends routine worship practices. “You need to exit the flesh and enter the spirit when worshiping and praising God,” he stated, encouraging believers to emulate Abraham’s steadfast faith in God’s promises, even during challenging times.
He stressed that praise rejuvenates hope, heals emotional wounds, and creates pathways for divine opportunities. Drawing from the biblical story of Jericho, he illustrated how persistent praise can dismantle barriers. “Praises open doors,” he affirmed, urging Christians to trust in God’s timing and power.

Rev. Morrison also admonished believers to cultivate a heart of gratitude and reject entitlement. “As Christians, we shouldn’t always approach God with demands; instead, we must learn to give thanks and appreciate His goodness,” he said.
In addition, he advised the congregation to embrace positivity, discard negative attitudes, and align their speech with their faith.
He concluded by emphasizing the link between gratitude and generosity, urging members to express their thankfulness through giving.
The “Aseda” Service left members deeply inspired, reinforcing the importance of praise and thanksgiving as they prepare to step into the new year with renewed faith, hope, and purpose.
