The Volta Impact Alliance has issued a call for unity and fairness in the Volta Region, emphasizing the importance of supporting local leaders who contribute to regional development.
Speaking at a press conference, the Alliance criticized the tendency of internal divisions that undermine the progress of the region. It called on stakeholders, youth groups, and traditional authorities to rally behind leaders making meaningful contributions, citing Gabriel Kwamigah Tanko Atokple as a leading example.
“Let the culture of ‘pull him down’ cease. Instead, let us build a culture where we encourage, correct with fairness, and support those who are striving to bring progress to our communities,” the group said.
The statement also urged the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) leadership to handle ongoing matters with professionalism and due process, emphasizing that fair treatment would reinforce public confidence and promote collective regional advancement.
The Volta Impact Alliance concluded by calling on the public to prioritize unity, progress, and development over division, highlighting that the future of the Volta Region depends on how well it supports and protects its development-oriented leaders.
