The Sacred Crown Awards 2026 (SCA2026) has reaffirmed its commitment to a fair and credible selection process as it continues the verification of nominees for this year’s awards.
The exercise follows the official announcement of nominees and is aimed at ensuring accuracy, appropriate categorisation and proper representation across the various award categories.
A statement signed by Enoch Owusu Kissi, Lead for Communications and Public Affairs of the Sacred Crown Awards, said organisers had undertaken further verification and consultations with stakeholders following the release of the nominee list.
It said the process had resulted in adjustments to selected categories to ensure nominees were appropriately placed based on their standing, experience and contributions.
According to the statement, the revised nominee lists and official flyers will be published on the Sacred Crown Awards’ official communication platforms following the review.
The organisers said the changes were necessary to strengthen confidence in the nomination process and protect the credibility of the awards scheme.
“These adjustments form part of the Awards’ ongoing verification process and are intended to further strengthen the fairness, credibility, and integrity of the nomination structure,” the statement said.
The organisers also announced that the previously communicated one-week correction and omission period remains open for genuine administrative and publication-related errors.
The correction window covers errors involving names, titles, organisations, designations, categories and other details contained in the published nomination materials.
They, however, clarified that the exercise does not amount to a reopening of nominations, stressing that only genuine corrections and omissions would be considered.
All submissions received within the stipulated period will be reviewed before any amendments are made to the official nominee list.

The Sacred Crown Awards further reiterated its commitment to recognising excellence and meaningful contributions across its three core pillars while maintaining professionalism and integrity in the awards process.
The organisers expressed appreciation to nominees, stakeholders, media partners and the public for their cooperation and understanding as the verification exercise continues.
