Award-winning media personality and communications professional Ephyia Stade Edna has been honoured as the Triumph Media Personality of the Year at the 2026 Triumph Women Awards held on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra.
The third edition of the Triumph Women Awards was held under the theme “Rewarding Champions” and brought together distinguished women and other stakeholders to celebrate achievements and contributions across various fields.
Edna’s award recognised her contributions to media, communication, storytelling, and public engagement, as well as her work in promoting women and youth empowerment.
Reacting to the recognition, Edna described the award as a great honour and an encouragement to intensify her efforts.
“It’s such a great honour to have an award like this,” she said.
She said the significance of the recognition went beyond receiving a plaque or title, noting that the Triumph Women Awards had provided a platform for recognising women and encouraging them to create positive impact.
“An award that empowers people to do more, to impact others as well,” she said.
Edna said she had followed the awards scheme for some time and appreciated its role in empowering and recognising women making a difference in society.
“I have known this award scheme for some time now. I’ve followed them, and I know their impact. They empower women, and through them, people are making it out there,” she said.
The award recipient also encouraged professionals and young people to remain committed to their work even when their efforts were not immediately recognised.
“Wherever you are, you need to do what you’re doing. It doesn’t matter whether people are watching or people are not,” she said.
“Just know that I am doing this because I want to do it because I am impacting. And somehow, somehow, people are watching without you knowing. And when the time is right, definitely, you’ll be acknowledged.”
Edna said the recognition had also reminded her that there was more work to be done.
“This means a lot of work. And this means that there’s more to be done,” she said.
“This means that I am not going to sleep. I am definitely going to continue. And this time, I am doubling everything that I used to do.”
She expressed gratitude to those who supported her work and voted for her.
“I would love to say thank you to everybody who saw the vision, who saw the positive in everything, like what I am doing,” she said.
“Everybody who voted, I am really grateful to you all.”
Edna further encouraged others to remain committed to their aspirations and contribute positively to society.
“Wherever you are, do well and shine. And you will be acknowledged as well,” she said.
