Georgina Amy Tieku, a makeup artist and nail technician, has been honoured by DebbyQueen Productions for her exceptional punctuality, reliability, and commitment to professional duties.
The recognition was presented to her by Lady Mrs. Deborah Borketey-Tackie, popularly known as DebbyQueen, host of the Triumph Women Awards 2026 and CEO of DebbyQueen Productions, during the third edition of the Triumph Women Awards held at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra on Sunday, September 27, 2026.
Georgina received a Citation for Excellence in Punctuality in recognition of her consistent commitment to being present, prepared, and on time in support of DebbyQueen Productions.
The presentation became one of the emotional moments of the ceremony when Georgina was handed the microphone to say a few words after receiving the citation.
Overcome with emotion, Georgina wept on stage before eventually speaking about the unexpected honour, in what appeared to be a joyful and deeply touching response to the recognition.
“I was surprised and I was shocked. I wasn’t expecting it,” Georgina said.
She explained that her professional relationship with DebbyQueen initially began through makeup before she expanded her services to include nail care.
“Initially, I started with the makeup. Then, I came with the nails. Actually, I’m doing nails for her,” she said.
Georgina, who has been in the beauty profession for almost four years, said she had not expected to be recognised publicly for her work.
The citation presented by DebbyQueen commended Georgina’s “exceptional punctuality, reliability, and commitment” to DebbyQueen Productions.
It noted that her consistent dedication to being present, prepared, and on time had demonstrated a commendable level of discipline, professionalism, and respect for teamwork.
Her punctuality, the citation said, had also contributed significantly to the smooth execution of programmes, productions, and activities.
It further celebrated her exemplary work ethic and the positive standard she set for others, emphasising that excellence was reflected not only in what people did but also in how responsibly and consistently they showed up to do it.
Sharing a message with others in the beauty and creative professions, Georgina urged them to make punctuality an important part of their work ethic.
“I would like to tell them to be very punctual. They should make sure that the time they are supposed to be there, they should be there. Exactly what their time is, they should be there,” she said.
The recognition highlights the importance of professionalism and reliability, particularly for individuals whose work often takes place behind the scenes and contributes to the successful execution of events and productions.
For Georgina, the citation served as an unexpected acknowledgement of her consistent commitment, while her emotional reaction on stage added a personal dimension to the celebration of her work.
The Triumph Women Awards 2026, held under the theme “Her Blueprint, Her Legacy,” brought together women from diverse sectors to celebrate leadership, professional excellence, resilience, and social impact.
