MTN Ghana announces temporary disruption to data bundle purchases

MTN Ghana has announced a temporary disruption affecting data bundle purchases nationwide, following a major technical issue encountered while implementing a new data offer on 1st July 2025.
The telecommunications company has introduced a promotion providing 15% additional data volume on bundles starting today. However, a significant system glitch has prevented customers from purchasing data bundles, including those benefiting from the enhanced data offer.
In a statement issued by MTN’s Corporate Communications Department, the company acknowledged the inconvenience caused and assured customers that technical teams are working with urgency to resolve the issue and restore services as soon as possible.

“We recognize the importance of staying connected and sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this may cause. We appreciate your patience and understanding,” the statement read, adding that further updates will be provided.
