CFAO Mobility Launches Toyota Tsusho Manufacturing Ghana in Accra

The official launch of Toyota Tsusho Manufacturing Ghana (TTMG) by CFAO Mobility integrates vehicle assembly and distribution, creates jobs for over 550 Ghanaians, and reinforces the country’s industrial and automotive development.

CFAO Mobility, a leading pan-African mobility solutions provider and part of the CFAO Group, has officially launched Toyota Tsusho Manufacturing Ghana (TTMG), marking a new chapter in the Group’s long-standing commitment to Ghana’s automotive industry.

The launch follows the successful completion of CFAO Mobility’s acquisition of the Toyota and Hino vehicle distribution operations in Ghana from Toyota Ghana Limited, which was concluded on December 31, 2025, after the fulfilment of all regulatory and legal requirements.

The integration brings manufacturing, distribution, sales, and after-sales operations under a single, strengthened entity.

With this transition, Ghana becomes the 38th country where CFAO Mobility distributes Toyota vehicles, reinforcing the Group’s strategy to deepen its presence in West Africa while supporting safer, cleaner, and more accessible mobility solutions.

In Ghana, TTMG brings together local vehicle assembly and manufacturing with sales, distribution, spare parts supply, and after-sales services, ensuring continuity for customers while enhancing local value creation and operational efficiency.

Local assembly operations commenced with the opening of TTMG’s assembly plant in 2021, complementing Toyota’s existing distribution footprint in Ghana and strengthening domestic automotive manufacturing capacity.

Speaking on behalf of President John Dramani Mahama, the Chief of Staff, Mr. Julius Debrah, commended CFAO Mobility and Toyota Tsusho Manufacturing Ghana (TTMG) for the successful integration of Toyota’s vehicle assembly and distribution operations in Ghana, describing it as a major milestone in the country’s automotive industry.

He said the integration represents a significant step in Ghana’s industrial development, particularly in vehicle manufacturing and distribution. Mr. Debrah acknowledged the role of TTMG’s management and staff, noting that CFAO’s investment and the retention of over 550 employees demonstrate strong business confidence, resilience, and long-term commitment to Ghana

Mr. Debrah described CFAO and TTMG as reliable partners in Ghana’s development agenda, aligning their operations with infrastructure development, human capital growth, and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Touching on corporate social responsibility, he expressed appreciation for CFAO’s continued support for health, education, and sports, particularly football, and encouraged the company to sustain its humanitarian initiatives as it expands.
