VITO S-Class Services Ltd. is positioning technology at the centre of its vehicle inspection operations with the introduction of an artificial intelligence-driven platform designed to improve the speed, accuracy, transparency and security of the inspection process.
The company’s Chief Executive Officer, Mrs Jacqueline Oppong Mensah, announced the innovation at the official commissioning of the DVLA Ultra Center at Dome on Thursday, July 23, 2026, describing technology as a critical tool for improving service delivery and promoting road safety.
At the heart of the company’s digital transformation is the Vehicle Inspection Management System (VIMS), an intelligent platform designed to digitally manage the entire inspection process, from vehicle registration and testing to certificate issuance.
According to Mrs Oppong Mensah, the system is intended to create a more efficient and seamless experience for both customers and staff while strengthening transparency throughout the inspection process.
The platform also features an AI Voice Assistant designed to guide staff, assist customers and provide instant access to relevant vehicle inspection information.
“We believe the future of vehicle inspection will be driven by technology and powered by Artificial Intelligence,” Mrs Oppong Mensah said.
She said VITO S-Class was determined not only to keep pace with technological advancement but also to contribute to shaping the future of vehicle inspection in Ghana.
“For us, technology is not an end in itself. It is a tool for improving service delivery, strengthening regulatory compliance and, ultimately, making our roads safer,” she added.
The company’s technology drive comes at a time when the DVLA is also pursuing a wider digital transformation programme alongside the expansion of its physical service network.
Mrs Oppong Mensah said VITO S-Class would continue investing in technology, professional development and quality systems while strengthening its collaboration with the DVLA.
She said the company’s ambition is to help establish a service environment built around professionalism, integrity and customer satisfaction, with every properly inspected vehicle contributing to safer roads.
DVLA Chief Executive, Mr Julius Neequaye Kotey, said the Authority’s investments in physical infrastructure and digital systems must progress together as part of efforts to improve service delivery and strengthen road safety.
The commissioning of the Dome Ultra Center is expected to deepen the partnership between the DVLA and VITO S-Class Services Ltd., combining expanded access to public services with the company’s focus on technology-driven vehicle inspection.
The Dome Ultra Center also forms part of a wider DVLA expansion programme that has seen 23 new offices commissioned within the past one-and-a-half years, aimed at bringing services closer to the public, reducing congestion at existing offices and improving customer convenience.
