The Convener of the 2026 Geneva Institute for Leadership & Public Policy (GILPP) Ghana Regional Conference, Madam Lawrencia Akosua Pomaa has underscored the importance of effective regional collaboration in ensuring a sustainable governance system in Ghana and Africa at large.
Speaking at the 2026 GILPP Conference which was on the theme “Leadership, Governance & Resilience in an Age of Complexity”, she observed that collaboration is the solution to major challenges facing the nation
“The topic for this conference is collaborative governance for a resilient society, and so in order to ensure that, we needed to bring everyone together, and that’s what we did today, bringing together different actors and sectors in our society to make sure we deliberate on the issues that we need to solve. This can only be achieved through collaboration”, she stated
Ms Pomaa further revealed additional projects GILPPP intends embarking in Ghana.
“So, this regional conference here in Ghana, hosted by GILPP, KAS Ghana and CFR, is a movement that we actually want to continue on good governance here in Ghana.

GILPP literally wants to start a first cohort where they also invest in young leaders, where they also invest in mentorship, and make sure that the leaders of today and the leaders of tomorrow are able to be impacted positively”, she added
On his part, the President of GILPP, Dr Henry Deneen, expressed confidence in Ghana’s potential, describing the country as a stable nation with gifted people and a promising future.
“”Very stable country, great people, gifted people, and that’s one of the reasons that the Geneva Institute wanted to come,”
We just hope we can contribute to the betterment of the society of Ghana”, Dr Deneen said.
The 2026 GILPP Ghana conference convened leaders from government, public institutions, and partner organizations for substantive deliberation on collaborative governance, institutional resilience, and regional cooperation. Participants exchanged perspectives and strengthened institutional relationships.
