President John Dramani Mahama is set to begin a two-day working visit to Ghana’s Northern Region on Saturday as part of his nationwide “Resetting Ghana” outreach, aimed at taking stock of development efforts and gathering public feedback on his administration’s policies.
The visit forms part of a regional engagement tour that began earlier in the Bono Region, with the Presidency describing it as a platform for residents, through traditional authorities, to raise concerns directly with the President on governance, livelihoods and stalled projects in their communities.
During the tour, President Mahama, accompanied by senior government officials, is expected to break ground for the construction of new 24-hour market centres and assess progress on several strategic infrastructure projects across the region.

The visit will climax on Sunday with a town hall meeting at the University for Development Studies in Tamale, where government appointees are expected to present key policy interventions and programmes rolled out over the past year as the administration seeks to deepen public accountability.
