The Event Celebrates 41 Outstanding Companies Driving Innovation, Impact, and Growth in Ghana’s Economy

Vision, perseverance, and excellence took center stage at the 2025 Ghana Business League Awards, held on Friday, June 6, 2025, and organized by Maven Communications.
The event, Ghana Business League Awards, brought together influential leaders, top-performing companies, and key stakeholders in a grand celebration of Ghana’s most outstanding businesses.
This year’s theme, “From Vision to Success: Celebrating Ghana’s Top Businesses,” underscored the critical role of resilience, innovation, and strategic leadership in shaping the national and continental business landscape.
Hon. Sampson Ahi, Member of Parliament for Bodi and Deputy Minister for Trade, Agribusiness, and Industry, served as the Special Guest of Honour.
In his address, he praised the transformative impact of Ghanaian businesses and the power of private sector innovation to drive national development.
“Tonight is more than just an award ceremony, it is a testament to the power of vision, the triumph of perseverance, and the collective wealth of a nation rising above challenges to create prosperity,” Hon. Ahi remarked.
He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to creating a business-friendly environment through robust regulatory reforms and strategic partnerships with the private sector.
The Ministry, he noted, is committed to resetting the economy with a 24-hour economic agenda, aimed at making Ghana’s business environment more agile and responsive.
“Platforms like these are critical tools in our collective mission to build a resilient, inclusive, and prosperous economy,” he added.
Evans Hockey, Awards Committee Chairman, delivered the official welcome address, celebrating the journeys of the award nominees and recipients.
“Whether you walk away with an award or not, your presence here tonight is a testament to the fact that you are among Ghana’s finest,” he told the audience. “We are the future of our nation, and we carry the potential to shape a glorious future.”
Hawking emphasized that the award criteria extended beyond profits, focusing on values such as CSR, innovation, quality service, and community impact. “This is about recognizing vision that is met with action, proof that success is not only possible, but inevitable.”
Jojo Danso Asante, Event Director at Maven Communications, commended all participating businesses and shared the firm’s broader mission. “We do more than organize events, we create platforms that honour real achievement and drive transformation. We’re proud to be the force behind not only this awards night but other initiatives like the African Best Business Awards and the upcoming HR Services and Awards.”
Asante also highlighted Maven’s CSR wing, the Maven Foundation, which is dedicated to empowering young people with practical life skills. “We are deeply committed to national development both through our work with businesses and our investments in future generations,” he said.
In an interview, Jojo Danso Asante indicated that the Awards would help build the capacities of companies to do more and leverage on government’s 24-hour economy policy.
According to him, the organizers of the Awards have delved deeper into the activities of these businesses, looking at innovation, capacity and how they help grow the Ghanaian Economy.
The evening featured the recognition of standout companies across manufacturing, services, agribusiness, and technology, with sponsorship from brands such as KPMG, Sunshine, and other industry leaders. Attendees were encouraged to register in advance through digital barcodes, a system introduced to streamline logistics and ensure an efficient guest experience.
Hon. Ahi congratulated all nominees and winners: “Your excellence deserves to be celebrated not just tonight but throughout the year.
Let us continue moving from vision to success, building a Ghana where every business has the opportunity to thrive and contribute to our national destiny.” In all 41 Businesses were awarded.
Mr. Andrew Akoto, Country Manager of KPMG Ghana, has extended heartfelt congratulations to all winners at the Ghana Business League Awards 2025, applauding their dedication, innovation, and resilience in advancing excellence within the private sector.
He commended the honourees for setting high standards and driving business transformation across various industries, describing them as “beacons of hope and progress in Ghana’s economic journey.”
He used the occasion to emphasize the critical role of private businesses in national development, noting that sustained economic growth depends largely on a vibrant, well-supported private sector. “When businesses thrive, jobs are created, innovation is spurred, and government revenue increases,” he said.
Mr. Akoto called for stronger collaboration between the private sector and policymakers to create an enabling environment that fosters investment, productivity, and sustainable economic progress.
