PRINPAG Announces August 15 Elections, Unveils Electoral Committee
Election Committee tasked to oversee nominations, vetting, voting, and declaration of results for a smooth and transparent process

The Private Newspapers and Online News Publishers Association of Ghana (PRINPAG) has announced August 15, 2025, as the official date for its upcoming National Executive Elections.
The decision was reached during the Executive Committee’s 2nd Quarter meeting, where members unanimously agreed on the timeline and steps to ensure a transparent and credible electoral process.
To oversee the elections, a three-member Electoral Committee has been constituted, comprising:

Lawyer Ken Agyei Kuranchie of Daily Searchlight – Election Administrator

Desmond Darko of The Catalyst – Deputy Election Administrator

Nimatu Yakubu Atuoyese of NewsDeskgh.com – Secretary
The PRINPAG Secretariat will support the committee administratively throughout the election period.
The committee’s mandate includes opening nominations, vetting candidates, organizing debates (where necessary), supervising voting, declaring results, and carrying out other related tasks to ensure a smooth and fair election.
PRINPAG expressed confidence in the committee’s ability to deliver a credible process and urged all eligible members to participate actively. The elections will usher in a new leadership to steer the affairs of the Association for the next three years.

PRINPAG Sets August 15 for 2025 National Executive Elections, Announces Electoral Committee
Accra, Ghana – The Private Newspapers and Online News Publishers Association of Ghana (PRINPAG) has officially announced August 15, 2025, as the date for its upcoming National Executive Elections. This decision was unanimously agreed upon at the Executive Committee’s 2nd Quarter meeting held recently.
To ensure a free, fair, and transparent electoral process, the National Executive Committee has constituted a three-member Electoral Committee tasked with overseeing the entire election process. The committee is composed of the following distinguished members:
1. Lawyer Ken Agyei Kuranchie – Daily Searchlight newspaper – Election Administrator
2. Desmond Darko – The Catalyst newspaper – Deputy Election Administrator
3. Nimatu Yakubu Atuoyese – NewsDeskgh.com – Secretary
The PRINPAG Secretariat will provide full administrative support to the committee as it discharges its duties.
The Electoral Committee’s Terms of Reference (ToR) include, but are not limited to:
• Opening of Nominations
• Conducting Vetting of Candidates
• Organizing a Debate (where necessary)
• Organizing and Supervising Voting
• Declaring Election Results
• Undertaking any other related activities to ensure a smooth and credible election process
The Association is confident that the committee, under the leadership of seasoned professionals, will deliver a transparent and credible election to usher in a new leadership team for a three-year term.
